Two positions available with Impunity Watch

14/09/2009 - Impunity Watch announces the opening of two positions, one for a Junior Project Officer based at its headquarters in the Netherlands and the other for a Project Development Consultant in Burundi. Both positions are open until filled.

Junior Project Officer:

IW seeks a dynamic junior NGO professional, committed to stronger democratic participation in human rights research and policy, to assist its headquarters’ team. The position demands strong organisational and interpersonal skills and will offer a stimulating working environment within the field of international human rights protection. The Junior Project Officer shall be responsible for assisting with the administration and organisation of the IW Country Programmes portfolio, currently including Guatemala, Serbia and Burundi, with plans for a fourth intervention in Southeast Asia from 2010, and the Perspectves Programme, with projects on the issues of memorialisation, violence against women and entrenched interests, as well as IW’s general operations and institutional development. This is a full-time position, based in Impunity Watch's headquarters in Utrecht.

Burundi Project Development Consultant:

IW seeks a dynamic professional, committed to stronger democratic participation in human rights research and policy, who is able to set up a new intervention in Burundi and engage with a range of relevant state and non-state actors. The position demands strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as intercultural sensitivity, and will offer a stimulating working environment within the field of international human rights protection. This position is offered on a consultancy basis, with the possibility of employment thereafter as Impunity Watch's Burundi Programme Manager.
