IW holds debate on monuments and youth

On 22 April 2010, as part of a series of debates on the role of memorialisation in the combat of impunity, Impunity Watch brought together experts and young people to consider the relationship between monuments to victims of war crimes and grave human rights abuses, and future generations. WHAT WE DO

MONITORING

IW aims to assist national civil society partners in their efforts to monitor state actions to reduce impunity. This includes also monitoring of state performance against legal obligations to investigate, prosecute and provide effective remedies to victims of past crimes and human rights violations. Results of our research can provide a basis for such continuing domestic-led oversight.
