MICHELLE BOUCHEBEL

MENA Programme Officer 

Michelle Bouchebel joined Impunity Watch in February 2019 as a consultant and became MENA Programme Officer in January 2020, with a focus on gender and transitional justice as well as victim’s participation in tansitional justice processes. Previously, she worked for four years with Search for Common Ground in Lebanon (SFCG), managing teams implementing projects In Lebanon and in Syria related to the empowerment of women and youth, governance, cultural protection as well as conflict transformation and capacity building with host communities and refugees. Michelle also has experience in human rights and transitional justice from her previous work with ACT for the Disappeared in Lebanon and the International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ). Michelle holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Lebanese American University (LAU) as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, with an emphasis on Development, from the Lebanese University.
