Policy Brief: Strategic Litigation for Cases of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Guatemala

The use of strategic litigation as a tool to generate consciousness and change in post-conflict Guatemala has generally been a good practice. In this policy brief, we review some key elements of Guatemala’s experience, the lessons learned, and challenges; more specifically in cases of sexual and gender-based violence committed during the internal armed conflict.
