In March 2015, Peer Researchers from communities in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Rwanda were given cameras to film the causes and the consequences of conflict according to women and youth in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. This Life History video presents the story of a young mining cooperative worker in the DRC who explains how poor governance and selfish interests restrict opportunities for young Congolese. All of the films in this series are produced as part of Impunity Watchs work on the Peace Beyond Borders Programme, which includes the production of a Women s Agenda for Peace and a Youth Agenda for Peace in the region.
