What we do

Impunity Watch works together with victims, survivors and communities affected by human rights violations to overcome impunity and ensure justice works for all.

Our work combines research, advocacy and programming in particular contexts, as well as our global and comparative work.

We currently work in Central America, North Africa and the Great Lakes region of Africa, the Middle East and the Western Balkans. We have presence in Guatemala and Burundi, and our headquarters are in The Hague, The Netherlands.

In addition to our established country/regional programmes, we conduct research on cross-cutting themes relating to overcoming impunity, and build and maintain international partnerships to fight impunity and transform justice, always putting victims at the centre.

We are committed to prioritising long-term engagements in all our programming, operations and advocacy work. The joint work with victims, survivors and affected communities is at the heart of everything we do. Explore our approach to overcoming impunity.
