We are living in a world where impunity is becoming normalised. The global architecture of justice, accountability and human rights is deteriorating fast, and international law and human rights institutions are increasingly weakened. At the same time, conflicts are multiplying and becoming more complex and militarised.
Too often, those most affected by conflict are excluded from peace negotiations, while short-term stability is prioritised over justice and structural reform. When victims are silenced, perpetrators go unpunished and root causes remain unaddressed, peace remains fragile and cycles of violence persist.
Together with those most affected by violence at the grassroots level, we resist the normalisation of impunity — and work towards justice and accountability.
Our new Annual Report 2025 highlights significant moments where we and our partners have stepped up as leading voices in the fight against impunity, reflecting updated strategies outlined in our new ‘Vision 2030’.
