This paper contains an analysis of the gender-sensitivity of processes of truth, justice, reparation and non recurrence (TJRNR) in Burundi, in which we identify key obstacles towards increasing the gender sensitivity of these processes and formulate recommendations to overcome them. TJRNR processes are implemented with the goal of coming to terms with the violent past and in such a way that it has the potential to transform society so that future conflict can be avoided.
