After the signing of the peace accords in 1996, Guatemala began a painful journey to confront its past. In this documentary, victims recount the significance of truth, justice, and reparations to them, and the numerous obstacles that they have endured in order to be heard and to reclaim their rights from the State. The documentary demonstrates the progress and the challenges facing Guatemala in fulfilling its commitments to transitional justice and in building a true State based on the rule of law.
