In March 2015, ‘Peer Researchers’ from communities in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Rwanda were given cameras to film the causes and the consequences of conflict according to women and youth in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. This video presents the opinions of Burundians, Congolese and Rwandans concerning the causes and consequences of unemployment and poverty, including how they relate to conflicts in the region. All of the films in this series are produced as part of Impunity Watchs work on the Peace Beyond Borders Programme, which includes the production of a Womens Agenda for Peace and a Youth Agenda for Peace in the region.
