INOVAS, the International Network of Victims and Survivors, is opening its membership to individuals and organisations involved in protecting victims’ rights and combating impunity. The network aims to create a platform for collaboration and to amplify the voices of those affected by human rights abuses.
Do you represent victims and survivors of human rights abuses? Then INOVAS might be the right fit for you. Members typically adopt a rights-based approach, and are aligned with INOVAS’ values and mission of recognizing the dignity of victims and validating their agency. Both formal and informal associations, organisations, and movements are encouraged to apply.
Members gain access to a vibrant network, enabling collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and resources. Individuals who have personally experienced human rights abuses and are committed to non-violence are also invited to join. Find out more about our members here.
Benefits of INOVAS membership
Membership offers benefits such as networking opportunities, capacity building support, and access to exclusive information and resources. INOVAS membership enhances the visibility and recognition of organisations, leveraging the network’s reputation and credibility.
Since its establishment in 2021, INOVAS has been a main partner of Impunity Watch. Among the main advocacy campaigns both organisations worked on was the Reparations as a catalytic power to change victims’ and survivors’ lives report, which provided key recommendations to improve transitional justice policy on reparations. The report was presented at the UN in New York on 10 December 2022.
