Our team in Guatemala participated in the inauguration of a mural dedicated to the 36 survivors of sexual violence in the Maya Achi women’s case in Rabinal, Guatemala. This was part of twelve reparations measures as an important act of recognition.
We are very grateful for this mural, because it represents our struggle for years to
achieve justice, and because we don’t want what happened to happen again. – Máxima García, one of the survivors

Impunity Watch also participated in a screening of the film ‘SEMA’ (“Speak out”), in partnership with the Mukwege Foundation and The Hague Humanity Hub (Just Peace).
The film was followed by a conversation with panelists, including our own Dr. Sanne Weber, on how to transform structural gender inequality for meaningful justice. Catch up on the discussion.
